Brain Tumor: The growth of abnormal cells in the tissues of the brain. Brain tumors can be benign (not cancer) or malignant (cancer). In either situation, brain tumors are a devastating, life threatening diagnosis.
Thanks for visiting thereamteam.org.
The Ream Team Co.’s
purpose is to address, educate, coordinate, and provide aid and relief to young
adults with brain tumors.
It is estimated by the American Brain Tumor Association that
there will be 66,290 new cases will be diagnosed in 2012 and even more in 2013.
With 30% of these new tumors being gliomas and 80% of these gliomas are
malignant.
It is our obligation to be available whenever possible to educate
and alleviate people who have been impacted by the occurrence of a brain
tumor. We provide relief by organizing events that will in turn raise awareness and money for our plight. The Ream Team began in June 2012 just after 27 year old Rachael Mackey had her second craniotomy to remove a benign but dangerous mass from the right frontal lobe of her brain. Her boyfriend Jedd and her friends and family have since gotten together to help and bring together others who are dealing with brain tumors. The purpose of this site is to educate individuals about other treatments that might be available outside of conventional medicine. We promise to update the site frequently with ideas, exercises, treatment centers and support for those who are interested or may be dealing with the diagnoses of a brain tumor. The information contained on the site is not sufficient or provided in
order to diagnose, cure, prevent or treat any health-related symptoms or
diseases, or to prescribe any medication. We are simply offering up our research and are using thereamteam.org as a share method and resource for you and your loved ones.
